Daniel Osorno offers preliminary advising for scholarships & prestigious awards. Students seeking guidance in determining eligibility for prestigious merit awards for study abroad, as well as need-based scholarships and grants for the academic year or summer, are encouraged to meet with the Scholarships Advisor.
To prepare for the meeting, it is necessary to review the scholarships listed on https://www.bc.edu/content/bc-web/sites/global-engagement/sites/office-of-global-education/semester-abroad/finances.html#scholarships and come prepared with specific questions.

Students are highly encouraged to have completed the Initial Advising Questionnaire and the Study Abroad 101 on CANVAS prior to scheduling an appointment. Students interested in Summer programs do not need to complete these steps before meeting with an advisor. It is recommended that students conduct research regarding their abroad options prior to the scheduled meeting. Please address any questions or concerns during the meeting.
Students interested in pursuing the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, Critical Language Scholarship, Fund for Education Abroad, Freeman-ASIA, the National Security Education Program (NSEP) David L. Boren Scholarship, or other prestigious awards who wish to have their applications reviewed should meet with the campus coordinator (Christina Hatzipetros) well in advance of the application deadlines.
